- What room, surface, repair, system, or workflow you want fixed, installed, upgraded, or automated.
- Photos of drywall, paint, trim, epoxy surfaces, plumbing/electrical issue areas, utility rooms, or finished examples you like.
- For lighting or electrical questions: what each switch currently controls, what should stay powered, and safe-distance photos of the panel and fixtures. Do not remove covers or work energized for a quote.
- What equipment or apps are already involved.
- Whether this is home, business, motel, Route 66 property, camera, network, WLED, lock, or API work.
- Whether there is a deadline or an active outage.
- Photos of racks, routers, cameras, dashboards, labels, walls, ceilings, trim, damage, or work areas when helpful.
- For API/middleware work: what system should send data, what should receive it, and what should never be exposed.
Some work requires permits or licensed trade participation. Starlight Lab will identify that boundary during scoping rather than hiding it after work begins.
